Expressive Creation

In my artistic practice, multiple influences shape and enrich my creative journey. Traveling to different places, exploring museums, and delving into books on various artists have all played a significant role in broadening my perspective. Beyond painting, I find inspiration in the many years I spent travelling to Berlin from 1970 onward. I studied German at the Goethe Institue, and also took ballet and modern dance classes. I cherish all the time I had there. Having such great friends that exposed me to so much art music and culture. I felt like i had met my tribe. I travelled with my dearest friend Jochen to many places to explore, enjoy and always included art museums a break for hot waters or beaches and so many wonderful memories. We made great travel partners for over 25 years. I have been heavily influenced by this experience and now I am home in my Casita enjoying more of a simple but grounded life. I am happy and fully engaged in Painting. I finally am doing what i always wanted Whether I am experimenting with colors on a canvas, or partnering with Apache my trust worthy German Shepherd and tending to a garden, or my chickens, I relish the process of working through ideas, allowing them to evolve and manifest in unexpected ways. It is through this fluid and open-ended creative exploration that I continue to grow and evolve as an artist. I am finally happy.
